Welcome ...For me, it started, innocently enough, with an adult ed class in stained glass so I could have an Open-Shut sign. Then I wanted to make a candle panel to hang for light catching. Then there were more things to make than there will ever be time for. In the early 1990s I made the mistake of taking a trial lesson in blown glass. The first gather hooked me, and now I have trouble getting out of the studio once a blow session has started. There always seems to be one more piece to be made. The joy is in the physical shaping of the molten glass—the magic comes the next morning when the annealer opens, presenting the the color frozen in place. Here is just some of the fun I've had. |
